These flies are the old Mary Orvis
Marbury style bass and lake flies from
her book, "Favorite Flies and Their
HIstories". Recently, I was told about
another book written by her father
Charles F. Orvis, and A. Nelson
Cheney titled, "Fishing with the Fly".

These flies are tied on Allcock Kensey
style hooks. They are blind eye hooks
and all have either a silk gut loop eye
or silk gut snell attached. I offer them
framed beginning at $80. I also offer
sets of these, so inquire about price.

These are tied with the same materials
as the salmon flies and are beautiful
flies. I have made up a few of my own
so you will see some flies here that you
won't find in books.

I have also tied some up on bass
hooks and gone fishing and they are
wonderful flies to fish with. Apparently,
they knew what they were doing back
then with fly design as they still work
today.
